• Facebook links aren't allowed in posts because people then promote their groups/pages/products/brands. Apart from that, links from personal profiles too aren't allowed because most people do not understand privacy settings and they can see what they've shared and so can their friends, but others see 'Attachment Unavailable'
  • Facebook links are allowed in comments as responses to requests for recipes among others. They're also allowed here as the scope for visibility is limited to a single post and so people do not abuse this facility for promotions. Here too links must point to something like a note, photo or post and not the base address of a page or group.
  • Other links are allowed in posts, as long they aren't root links, like the base address of a website or YouTube channel as that too is used for promotion.
  • All links, to avoid their promotional misuse, must be accompanied by interaction on the part of the poster, else people just post links and go away. This group is not a bulletin board and must not be used as such.
